Over the years, previous board member, Marilyn Scott has made several visits to the Keiskamma Trust to inspire teachers and children in the classrooms. While she was inspiring children with her kindness and creativity she didn’t quite realize the inspiration her sundress would bring to the Trust as well. Some of the women at the Trust took notice of the beautiful bird pattern on the sundress Marilyn frequently wore and asked if they could use it to create a new pattern. Much to Marilyn’s surprise and our amazement, the Keiskamma Trust presented new works of art and product with a beautiful bird pattern. This fabric can now be found in several colours (blue, green, red, teal, grey) and many different versions of product ranging from pillow cases, aprons, tea towels, napkins and table runners, to full upholstery for arm chairs.
